So after beeing asked at least a million times I finally took the time to put all the updates one after the other so you can see the progress over time.
I still can't believe I submitted the first version, it was such garbage!
So even the last version at the bottom, as I said, is still a WIP, bunch of things I need to fix.
Actually, I hate to say this, but I like your first one the best. It feels like it has more life in it. I mean, the last one is good, it has a lot of beautiful detail, but it just doesnt have as much feeling as the first on.
Just my two cents, don't hate me!

Its interesting, like each version has a different feel to it. The first one seems to portray more emotion to me. Perhaps its because the broken head looks more human, Im not sure. Its odd how little changes can alter the feel of a piece. Well done on them all!
My favorites are the 3rd, 4th, and 1st ... approximately in that order, but I love them all. The 2nd one doesn't quite work for me and I can't articulate why.
Her expression goes through a lot of changes! Great stuff.

I do think the final one is the best so far, but I really love the barrette and ear from the second one. Love to see the evolving process. They look more and more real as you go.
wow...thanks for posting this..even though i wasnt one of the ones who asked you i know i secretly wanted you to do it anyway! ...i love being able to see them all one after the other ..so great to see how much you improved it...i like how you say the first is garbage hahaha..i hope to achieve that quality of garbage at LEAST.. anyhow...grats on making it more wonderfull each time and good luck with future revisions *10 years later* "heres all 100 versions in order.."
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
